Mexican Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 Large onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 cups of water
  • Pinch of cilantro

Instructions

  1. Place water, onion, garlic and seasonings in the pot with lid and stir.
  2. Place thawed ground beef (not defrosted) ground beef in pot and mix.
  3. You should see how fine the meat is falling apart.
  4. Turn up to medium high until it started to bubble
  5. Reduce to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  6. After 25 minutes, remove lid and simmer on med-low for another 30-40 min, stir frequently.
  7. When just about all the water is cooked down, but before it starts browning the meat, remove and drain the grease off.
  8. Smack your mom.
